OK, so it's another sappy "Here's Spring!" post

It's just stopped raining outside. Looking out my window, I see the beauty left behind by rain's nurturing soul. Our trees have small bright green leaves reaching out for sunlight as far as I can see. The Dogwoods are beginning to bloom. The many plants we planted last week are starting to look as if they’ve been growing right where they are for years.

Begonias in bloom seem to greet the very air which surrounds them. Lilies, gorgeous lilies, thriving in the mid day sun. Pansies of all colors are creating a veritable sea of subtle, soothing natural tones. The ivy we planted late last year in hopes of it one day covering our arbor, is reaching out of the soil in search of something to hold on to. One of the most beautiful plants to be grown is thriving. One of those often overlooked beautiful foliage plants that most people think are only for farmers…….. Tomato plants.

It’s all I can do to wait for my Bride to return home from shopping. I know she’s going to buy more plants and more gardening equipment. I can’t call myself a gardener, never have been. Who can resist a warm spring day after a gentle rain? You HAVE to be out there, and if you’re out there, why not take part in that which is so beautiful and right?

How do you and your loved ones take in the awesome beauty of Spring?

Now if we can just have a sunny weekend and I can get the old boat in the lake. Look out fish, here I come.

Spring is filling bird feeders... open windows with Abby (a female tabby) pointing a keen eye to the buffet below. Spring is tomatos and peppers planted in pots on my small but accomodating porch. Spring is breathing cool morning air, and working up a sweat that is not unbearable in the afternoon.

Well said! If I didn't know better, I'd say you were a Southern Gal. lol

Sound's like your idea of a good Spring day is pretty much on par with that of my Bride and myself.
