I was nice to a little Volvo that must have needed a new place to live, cause it followed me home.
I went to look at a nice little 86 Volvo 744 tic (turbo intercooled four cylinder sedan). It's paint is not the greatest in the world, but it's silver sheen is still in pretty good shape. The interior is all but perfect. The engine starts on an instant and runs like a dream. The M46 trans works flawlessly, but would be much easier to take off from a stand still if the clutch could be used. The slave cylinder is dead. The tires are in poor shape, but held air and got me home, 162 miles away.
As already stated, it needs a new slave cylinder. It also needs the headliner repaired, the fuel gauge (or likely sending unit) repaired, the turn signal switch (lever) replaced, the cruise control servo replaced and driven! OH, the A/C compressor is bad too.
I have the parts needed to repair the gauge function, turn signals, cruise controls and the air conditioner. All I need to purchase is the headliner cloth and the slave cylinder. Also forgot the driver’s side rear window regulator, but have it as well.
The wiring harness has not yet been updated, but I happen to have a good updated harness on the 86 parts car. The suspension bushings will have to be replaced as well and the front end re-aligned, but this is little trouble and the car runs and drives great.
OK, so I’ve gotten some good deals on many of my Volvos over time, but this one wins the day. To this point in time, I have about $40 in the car!
As a side note, RPM shifting an m46 is not what I’d call a fun task. LOL
I had managed to get my Volvo fleet down to eight cars, but nine’s cool. ROFL

lol, it's actually very near mint taking it's age into consideration. Honestly, the car needs about 4 to 6 hours put into it to make it 'excellent'.
Me? Attract Volvos???? ROFL they do often follow me home.
A pink one you say......... hmmmmmmmmm. Well, I haven't seen a pink one to date, but my paint gun can see pink quite easily!
OK, now ya gotta spill the beans! Gum and River need NEVER be in need of a car................... if only an ocean didn't put a pot hole in the road to your place :)
