This year we've done something off the wall for our nature. We've invited a few people that we've only known on the internet to come spend some time with us at the campground. I'm pleased to be able to say that our first guests have arrived safely!
One of this blog's members, Bonnie has come with her family and should be near sleeping by now. We have another family coming tomorrow, and we'll be driving to Rome, GA in the morning to pick up yet another family. I'm honestly thrilled. We've met some great people online.
I'm thinking of making this an anual event if things go well this time. The people that are coming this time are all card playing buddies. We all met online at Yahoo Canasta. Suffice it to say that there will be some card slinging this weekend!
We have another family just about thirty minutes from us that we've met in person already. We first met these wonderful people online at our favorite (and now only) aquarium / fish site and are hoping that they'll be able to attend as well.
We have many other online friends that we've made over the years on the above mentioned sites and a few others. We're hoping to invite a few more next year from other aspects of the internet if all goes well this year. Wish us well!
