It’s that time again. I have to get a shower and head off to work. Gone for another week on the road, but this week should be MUCH better than the last few. I’m going to be working in the same town all week (so far) and won’t have to do any OTR driving (unless you count the hours it’ll take to get there tonight and come home Thursday or Friday). We’ve got our good rig back now, so the work load should be MUCH less.
I didn’t manage to post much this week. We’ve been busy, busy, busy in the garden and on cars. I’ve probably got fifty to eighty parts being shipped out tomorrow. Getting all that together as well as repairing five customer’s cars and getting two more nearly there (awaiting parts). I’ve also gotten the 162 (classic “Amazon” Volvo for those who don’t know) ready for finial polish. It’s in the last stage and I got it color sanded today. It’s been a full restoration, but for what it’s worth, the car was in excellent shape for it’s age.
This week, we finished off ALL of the major beds in the “regular” garden side. There’s still some minor planting to do here and there, but nothing that will take more than half of a day. The “features that I can’t tell you about yet” side still has a few more weeks worth of work, but it’s coming together.
Didn’t get to do much welding. I did a good bit part of one day, but I neglected my ‘tip’ in my MIG welder for far too long. No more welding until I get a replacement (nothing around local and I have NO idea where my spares got to). I did get some copper work done, but not too terribly much.
We had a good weekend. We’ve missed Christina. She’s been out of town in one this season’s smaller Pow Wows. We didn’t do much other than garden stuff and work on cars, but not having to go here and there has been a nice change. I’ve STILL not been able to locate the parts I need for my own work car’s exhaust, so another week of screaming noise on the highway.
Thought for the week:
When the time comes, where does it go?
When time fly’s, where does it land?
When time stood still, where was it standing?
Why does it really matter? We live until we don’t anymore. It’s not when we go, it’s HOW we go AND, HOW we LIVED!
Clichéd, I know, but thoughts? Doesn’t matter who you are or even if you have a clue who I am, feel free to post replies to ANY of my posts.
Many all who read this find the most precious thing they’ve lost in time and in turn.
