I haven’t posted anything in a while. I’ve been busy running my head off here and there, with the exception of a good weekend with some good friends this past week. If anyone’s lost for a guess, try canasta. lol
The garden’s looking pretty good, but there’s still lots to do. If this weather will just give us a break, we’ll get back on it.
The new Volvo has a bad driver’s door, but I got lucky and found a good one with matching paint and will be putting it on soon. The fuel door is completely missing, but I already had one, so that wasn’t a problem. I’ve finally decided what I’m going to do with it. Since it’s a turbo, I’m not all that keen on keeping it. Turbo Volvos are great cars with even more kick, but all the rest of my cars are non-turbo (including my parts cars), so I’m going to let this one go. I’m hoping to either trade it for a diesel pickup or sell it and buy a diesel truck. I REALLY need a truck and I’m honestly in need of a diesel powered one at that. Anyone need a nice 86 Volvo 744 turbo intercooled? lol
I’m also on the hunt for a good diesel engine for my motor home, so I should have my hands full for a while between the garden, the car, the motor home and a boat I’m starting on.
Yup, I’m starting on a new boat. This boat will be for ME. I haven’t made myself a boat in all the years I’ve been doing this, so I’m really looking forward to it. I’m not going to spill the beans just yet, but let it settle in that it’s different so say the least. I’ve had this particular boat in mind for a LONG time, but I’ve never had the means to do anything about it. I still don’t have the cash to do it, but I’ve collected many, many parts and now a good friend has very generously offered me the most expensive components for FREE! I can finally build my boat! I’ve yet to locate the small engine I need, but I’ll find it sooner or later. I’m hoping to find a small three cylinder diesel engine for it (something like a small farm tractor Yanmar engine). I will give you this much, it’s going to incorporate hydraulics.
Well, boredom is kickin my rump, so I’m off to play canasta J

HUH? What? Oly ONE project your say.............
HOW do I do that?
Looks like we made it out fairly well this time (though I've not built up the nerve to walk into the garden and see how things faired yet).

Some would call it multi-tasking... others would call it ADD. I would call it someone with a personality! LOL
Hope all is well...
